To help people choose the right Elantra for them, we created an interactive driveway experience by hacking Google Maps and Street View—without an official partnership at launch. By combining projection mapping with real-time 3D animation layered onto the map environment, users could watch one of the three new models drive to their home and park in their own driveway. The experience became a breakout success, later recognized by Google as an official Google Street View case study.
